About this pattern
Nora sweater is a sweater with a Nordic inspired pattern on the yoke. The sweater is worked top down in the round with raglan increases and German short rows on both the yoke and the bottom of the body which gives the neck of the sweater a rounded fit and a slightly longer back. The sweater has a loose fit. The sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles or using the magic loop technique (I personally prefer the latter). The sweater featured is a size L knitted in Yak by Lang Yarns in the colorways 26 (brown) and 94 (white) held together with Lace by Lang Yarns in the colorways 68 (brown) and 94 (white). Body and neck can be altered if needed and you can make a longer or shorter sweater accordingly. NB: the Color work charts are attached as a separate PDF.
Size guide
The Nora sweater is designed with a positive ease of approx. 12-18 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Size XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL correlates to a chest measurement of approx. 70-76 (76-82) 82-88 (88-94) 94-100 (100-106) 106-112 (112-118) 118-124 cm [27½-30 (30-32¼) 32¼-34½ (34½-37) 37-39¼ (39¼-41¾) 41¾-44 (44-46½) 46½-48¾ inches]. If your chest measurement e.g. is 90 cm [35½ inches], you should knit a size M with a final chest circumference of 106 cm [41¾ inches]. Remember that these measurements only apply if you have the correct gauge. If you want a tighter fit, I recommend going down a size in relation to your chest measurement.
